KEY INSIGHT: The top 5 genres are Sports, Sci-Fi, Animation, Drama, and Comedy.
Recommendations
-
Allocate a great amount of marketing resources to Asia since half of Rockbuster’s customers are based there and they generate almost half of all revenue.
-
Market more films within the genres that produce the most revenue.
-
For an efficient online transition, I would suggest closing the physical stores that are left and then reallocating those resources toward the online platform.
-
Develop a program that rewards top customers to increase retention.
